BYU Cougars women's soccer

The team is notable for its consistent performance at a national level. It has reached the Quarterfinals of the College Cup on four separate occasions, in 2003, 2012, 2019, and 2021, establishing itself as a perennial contender in women's college soccer.

Recently, the BYU women's soccer team has been in the news for its performance in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. The team advanced through the early rounds, including a first-round victory against Utah State that was secured in a lengthy penalty shootout. Most notably, the Cougars subsequently eliminated a strong UCLA team, also on penalties, to earn a berth in the Round of 16 and keep their championship aspirations alive.
