The Xavier Musketeers men's basketball team is the NCAA Division I program representing Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. The team is a member of the Big East Conference, one of the premier athletic conferences in the country.
The program is notable for its consistent success and strong tournament history. It has made 30 appearances in the NCAA Tournament, including a stretch of 16 appearances in 18 years between 2001 and 2018. A significant milestone was achieved in 2018 when the team earned its first-ever No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Beyond the NCAA Tournament, Xavier has also won the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) twice, most recently securing the championship in 2022.
