Josh Jacobs is an American professional football running back currently playing for the Green Bay Packers in the National Football League (NFL). He began his professional career after being a first-round draft pick by the Oakland Raiders in 2019, following a successful college tenure with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Jacobs is notable for his significant achievements early in his career. He rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of his first two seasons, earning a spot on the NFL All-Rookie Team in 2019 and his first Pro Bowl selection in 2020. His most remarkable season came in 2022 when he led the entire league in rushing yards and became the first Raiders player since 1985 to surpass 2,000 scrimmage yards in a single season.
After five seasons with the Raiders, Jacobs signed with the Green Bay Packers in 2024. He has recently been in the news due to a knee injury sustained during a game in November 2025.
